| What maintenance does my bike need? |
Your bike will need a tune up once a year by a reputable bike shop. We suggest going to the authorized Biomega service centre in your area. Shaft drive & internal hub bikes require less maintenance than regular bikes because their parts are protected from bad weather & grime of city commuting. |
| How easy is it to replace bike parts? |
Your bike is equipped with brand name parts that are readily available. All Biomega bikes come with a 2 year warranty. For the Boston bike - your integrated cable lock is custom made by Biomega. If the lock is cut it can only be replaced by showing us proof of purchase. We will then happily replace your custom lock for $30.00. |
| How easy is it to change a flat tire? |
As easy as it is to change a flat tire on any bike. |
| I love the bike and so will thieves. How do I keep my bike in my hands, not theirs? |
We recommend using 2 types of locks to fend off potential thieves 1 - U lock to secure your bike frame to a solid, immovable object Pinhead Bubble Lock, Kryptonite New York 3000 & Abus Granite Extreme for example 2 - locks to secure your seat, front & rear wheels & headset to your bike frame Pinhead's locking system replaces your standard bike parts & are quickly removed for maintenance |
Simple Steps ![]() |
Choose a crowded area with other bikes to lock your bike Lock your bike to a solid, immovable object Have your keyway facing downwards Create a snug fit so there is little space in U for thief's tools Remove all your bike accessories - lights/bags/speedometers Register your bike so if it is stolen you can identify it |
